I am working on a small Grey Knights force, taking a break from my Blood Angels. I have started with a Dread Knight from the Grey knights range its wonderful model and must for any Grey knights player a challenge as well to make the metal stand out.
I started with spray base coat of Platemail Metal by Army Painter to ensure a even and smooth base coat. Then a wash of Badab black ink thinned down with water is liberally washed over the entire model. if it looks uneven add another coat and leave to dry. Devlan mud wash thinned down with water one part water to one part ink.
Once this was dry the entire model was gently dry brushed with Mithril Silver, repeat this if you want a lighter finish to the armour.
